Alright, now that you know what a bruise is you can learn about how to get rid of them. Obviously, it would be best just to not get bruised in the first place but “In a perfect world” and all that. We are going to look at getting rid of bruises once you already have them. Here are three good tips for getting rid of bruises;

  1. The first thing you can do is the simplest – put ice on it. Putting ice on a bruise helps keep the capillaries from losing too much blood and it also helps to make a bruise a little less painful by keeping the swelling down. Put ice on the bruised area for ten minutes, then take it off and let your bruise thaw for another ten. Repeat as many times as you want.
  2. The second tip for getting rid of bruises is to apply Arnika gel to it. Arnika gel is made from a plant and relatively inexpensive. Apply the gel to your bruise once every hour. This combined with icing your bruise will help your body heal the damaged area faster.
  3. The final thing you can do to get rid of a bruise is to modify your diet. By eating a lot of fruits and vegetables your body will have the needed vitamins (including vitamin C) to help your body heal a lot quicker. Eating healthy while your body is hurt is always a good idea, because then your body will spend more time healing your injuries and less time breaking down and digesting the food you eat.
